Filipe, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. I guess it
depends on the skills of the rpm author. Funny thing is
that last time I installed a rpm from a non-mandrake
source ( Opera browser version 6.11 ) it automagically
placed an entry in the menu, icon and all !

No big deal, though. But being a guy who likes to exercise
the operating system, I would like to find a way to update
the menus in ALL the graphical environments at once. On my
old clunker here I usually boot into Fluxbox when in a
hurry, ICEWm when having to let my wife ( who is
beautiful, but a windoze-addict ) use the system, XFCE
when nothing important is waiting and KDE when I've got
plenty of time. But the menus are different. I tried to
issue the update-menus command (as root) but to no avail.
Maybe Mandrake will fix this - unimportant - matter in a
later release ?
