Here's the weird thing - I've done a stock install of MDK 9 and I've gotten the missing gcc error before too! I know I've compiled stuff before with gcc, but certain programs (configure scripts) just refuse to see it. Is there any tidbit of wisdom that could point me and this fellow in the right direction? Something you pros already know to look for?
