Tried your suggestion, but got the message "can't find CD1" although CD1 was in CDROM drive. Poured myself a glass of good wine and installed MDK 9.0 again, added the mirror in MSM and updated the whole bunch. How come the update doesn't find mirrors automatically and one has to manually add a mirror in MSM? Kind of prehistorical it seems to me.

Thanx anyway, HarM

Yes you can.
First disable automount (at least for me I get better results that way)
as su/root.(don't use the quotes)
"supermount -i disable"
then stick in the cdrom and mount it.
"mount /mnt/cdrom"
then:

"urpmi.addmedia [name] removable://mnt/cdrom/Mandrake/RPMS/ with
../base/hdlist.cz"

where [name] is the name your system gave the install cd, which should be
almost (2=1) the same as the one given to the second cd.
If in doubt look in /var/lib/urpmi/ what everything is called, that's the
../base/ directory.

And it should update.

Good luck,
HarM
Stick cd1 in the drive
