Well I think we are near the finish on this. Kwikdisk shows everything but the cdrom still does not mount. But the good news is I can right click on the desktop go to new and create a icon that works for the floppy and dvd but when I do it for the cdrom it still errors out. This tells me that either my new drive is bad or my cable is bad. I really appreciate the help you and the others gave to me and much happier, all I have left now is to figure out how to setup the decss for xine and the I will be in heaven. Thanks again. Roly
