Hi am making footprints at the entrance of mandrake world cause my plan 4 linux @ gateway2000-solo2100(pemtium mmx150mhz 48mb-ram) is to build it as a promt mode only musical instrument
as a default i chose slackware to keep things simple but am stuggling at configuring sound aspects solo2100 has ess's es1888 on it and modprobe sb seems ok to make it work but the result of mpg123 tori_amos.mp3 made her sing slowly with a male voice am wondering if mandrake will simply solve this problem even if i keep things without x if it does would love to add things at http://lulu.esm.rochester.edu/kevine/turnkey/home.html csound oriented selections of musical apps over there requires mandrake 9.0 (they tell us to make it fully installed) so i maybe to greedy but anyway would like to see somebody encourage me to step into mandrake what do you think? is my machine too old or low-spec for mandrake BUYO-BUYO-IGOR------------------ http://buyobuyo.isgenius.com "SaRiGaMa's Oil Vending Orchestra" http://oil.isonfire.com
