Is the NTFS partition setup as a BASIC DISK or a DYNAMIC DISK? If it's setup as a DYNAMIC DISK, then you won't be able to resize it with either Partition Magic or Mandrake as the partitioning scheme is proprietary to Microsoft and partition resizing programs are unable to properly adjust the partition table.
