Not sure about the first problem, I have a look and post your fstab file. As to the last, it sounds suspicously like you are short of space on the partition it is saving to. look at diskfree and see what room is available. i.e. do a 'df' in console and make sure you have at least the 100mb available in whatever / you are saving to.
