Still, I think it's "apples and oranges". Analogy: WindowsXP = Tarago Linux = Hummer No matter what you do to the Tarago, it's still a Tarago, still will only go as fast as it does, looks really nice, has an automatic shift, six cylinder engine. You can paint it up, change the seats - whatever - but it's still a Tarago. When it crashes, it's toast. Now with a Hummer, you can change engines easily, have not only four wheel drive, but have either automatic OR shift...you can add shielding to it to make it more bullet proof, you can put guns and rocket launchers in it, it travels over literally any terrain, you can make it look "purty" or make it look rough - like a swiss-army knife...whatever you want to do with it, you can. If it crashes, start it up again and take off. ...at least that's an easier way for me to explain it to people. -- Fri Aug 1 09:25:00 EST 2003 09:25:00 up 16:27, 1 user, load average: 1.89, 2.02, 1.77 ----------------------------------------------------------------- | __ __ |kuhn media australia | | /-oo /| |'-. |http://kma.0catch.com | | .\__/ || | | |================================| | _ / `._ \|_|_.-' |stephen kuhn | | | / \__.`=._) (_ | email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | ----------------------------------------------------------------- linux user #:267497 linux machine #:194239 * MDK 9.1+ & RH 9 Mandrake Linux Kernel 2.4.21-11mdk Cooker for i586 ----------------------------------------------------------------- * This message was composed on a 100% Microsoft free computer * Homer: I'm a bad father!
