Ah, yes, I've looked at a few examples, and although *some* do mention
the existence of an attachment, none that I could see actually
identified it.

In any case it would not be reliable enough to use. I wonder if there is
an RFC in existence for something like this to be implemented in the
mail transport protocol, things being the way they are these days...?

I recall reading something about a smarter version of, or replacement
for, SMTP, but for the life of me I can't remember where.
