If you are running Flux from runlevel 3, ie. startx, then you can add this line to your .xinitrc xset m 50/10 3 & that's pretty fast, the way I like it. See "man xset" for how those values work, I can't remember offhand. Reducing the "50" would mean less acceleration, I'm pretty sure of that.
