The rave reviews and hyperbole you read (based your hardware choice on?) have no relevance to use under a Linux OS. Mainly because nVidia refuses (isn't allowed by M$ licensing) to furnish source and hardware specs to kernel.org/OSS community. So if ya get upset with anybody, direct it at Billy Goate$ first.
