It died after a couple years, I still had their diagnostic floppy that came with the drive and ran the test phoned in the code and they sent me a new drive no charge except for return shipping on old drive.
The new drive started making a noise also after a while, I read some where about 7200rpm drives running hotter so I installed "hddtemp" and checked it, running 55c so I seperated my drives (they were stacked too close for one thing) and put a drive cooler on it and now "hddtemp" reports 35c. I don't know for sure if the noise was heat related for sure, but it has been more quiet since I put a cooler on it. You could try installing hddtemp and see what your temp is. I believe its on the cd's. Mike
