I recall a post where someone wanted to change a shape from /_\ to straight |
_| sided and the reply was to:- 

Double click on the rotation icon etc. select perspective and then you can 
change things.

I have never taken the time to look at the options allowed by double clicking 
on the icons. But maybe it will help you.
