My hostname on my PC at home is 062016248046.customer.alfanett.no
wich is almost 40 characters long, and together with my username it tops 40 chars... Can I change this to somthing easier? It was set this way without me noticing when I installed mdk. Typing these commands gives: # hostname 062016248046.customer.alfanett.no # dnsdomainname customer.alfanett.no I have mdk 10.0, kernel 2.6.3-7mdk Best regards from vegard
