The drivers for soundblaster live have been GPL'd since fall '99. This site
will help anyone trying to get the card working in Linux. I just bought a
new card, I'll be trying it tonight once I get home, the explanation on the
site is too easy.

ftp://opensource.creative.com/pub/doc/live_faq.html

once you download the source, and read the README file, you should have no
problem getting it working.
I've compiled it for a friend in norway, while I'm in joisey :).. for more
info check this out.
