[newbie] Internet connection problem

i'm using kppp, the problem is that when I get connected if I run Netscape 
my connection ends.

In the kppp error window appears this:
CCP: timeout sending Config_Requests
Hangup (SIGHUP)
Modem hangup
Connection terminated

what is the problem? it's a Netscape problem? or what am I doing wrong?
