 Hewlett Packard DeskJet 722C (http://hp.com)

Category: Printer
Is it usable: sort of
Kernel Versions: >= 2.2.10 (my kenel version)
Description: It is possible to use this printer in Linux, but only in black
and white mode. It is necessary to acquire the linux utility pbm2ppa, which
converts from pbm (portable bitmaps) to ppa (the printer's only language).
By using some sort of filtering package, it is also possible to print out
files in pretty much any format. It is also possible to configure the
filtering software (along with samba) to share this printer with windows
machines. This then allows color printing, but only from the windows
machines.
