Most software will work fine in an SMP environment. However, most software
won't run faster because theres a second processor in the machine. The
software has to be capable of spawning multiple threads in order to see any
speed increase..
I know that Quake III ( and just about any game using the Q3 engine ) will
support SMP, and you will see a definite improvement in speed.
