hi list, i am about to install linux mandrake and looking at the demos
at linux-mandrake.com and see the option for harddrive optimization
i checked mandrakeuser.org and linux mandrake site, and i found stuff
that talks about hdparm and how to optimize the HD with it, but that it
can also mess up some harddrives to use hdparm
is there a list of harddrives that have been tested with it?
is there a way to tell without using it myself?
how do i find out exactly what kind of harddrive i have? i am using win98se
