Check the boot-up log at (/var/log/dmsg) <- i think that's the correct path,
sorry, not on linux here at work...

Then, if it's not already, add it into /etc/fstab...If you're not used to
that, I think there is a KDE front end for it.  I don't remember the name,
but if it's not already installed, you may be able to find it on
apps.kde.com or sourceforge.net

Oh, when you say "D drive", you *are* talking about a hard drive, right?  If
so, if it's a separate drive, you should be able to mount it as hdx1 (where
x is the letter that you found in the boot-up log).  If it's a partition on
the "C" drive, then it's probably going to be hdaX (where X is the partition
number, try using fdisk to find that out -- like someone else suggested...or
you can just guess and do trial and error until you get it right...)
