Thanks, and go easy on me, it's my first post :o) If you're new to Unix in general, then Linux isn't going to be easy no matter what :) But, from what I've experienced, mandrake takes the edge off the most. I recommend grabbing "Running Linux" from O'Reily Press. It's a bit outdated, but will get you up and running and comfortable in Linux a lot faster.
