I have this same nic,on the motherboard as well. No trouble getting 
recognized fortunately. You could try netconf perhaps,or linuxconf maybe.I'm 
sure there are a few others on here that can advise better than I, but 
perhaps this may get you started :-)

I'm not sure which one is better,I'll be waiting on that answer myself,with 
baited breathe of course :-)
