in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts I have the following entries (files): ifcfg-eth0, ifcfg-eth1, ifcfg-eth2 respectively:
DEVICE=eth0 BOOTPROTO=static IPADDR=10.0.0.140 NETMASK=255.255.255.0 NETWORK=10.0.0.0 BROADCAST=10.0.0.255 ONBOOT=yes DEVICE=eth1 BOOTPROTO=static IPADDR=192.168.0.1 NETMASK=255.255.255.0 NETWORK=192.168.0.0 BROADCAST=192.168.0.255 ONBOOT=yes DEVICE=eth2 BOOTPROTO=static IPADDR=192.168.0.1 NETMASK=255.255.255.0 NETWORK=192.168.0.0 BROADCAST=192.168.0.255 ONBOOT=yes HWADDR=00:10:4b:a2:d1:a8 The eth that is connected to the dsl is eth0 after I added the new NIC I got those eth1 & eth2 ... WHY why why I do have 3 of them while I only have 2 NICs? --------------------- Hanan AL-Shargi
