It is possible to manually import all your mail folders individually using Evolution's import function, but it will require that you move your evolution directory in ~/ to another name, and then install a pristine version of Evolution. From there you start the Evolution import routine and tell it the new name that you gave to the old evolution directory. This also assumes that your email data files are not foobarred. Did you do a tarball of your home directory?
