I propose that Mandrake writes a program, if such thing does not already exist, to test the CPU and tell the user which rpm to use, i486, i586, i686 or god knows what is next. I propose that this program also be part of the os installation hardware detection. The CPU is just a peripheral that requires its own driver, after all! Seedkum
