Well, the Nvidia LAN port is non-functional. It worked when I first got the
system but about a week in, the receive lights went out and the port stopped
picking up an IP address from DHCP. Since that time, the Nvidia LAN port has
been non-functional. I am using the other Marvell LAN port which works fine
under Linux.

I toyed with the idea of trying to get an RMA from Asus, but they have failed
to respond to any of my emails requesting an RMA, and I am pretty sure that
it is not worth the effort of waiting the 3 weeks for them to turn around a
replacement motherboard.

However, the forums are full of people who got shipments of the board with bad
chipfans. If you have one of those, you would likely get problems on initial
start as the chipfan doesn't start up and this causes a boot failure. If you
are experiencing that, you really should call tech support and get an RMA as
this can permanently damage your board over time. Either that or you can
manually replace the chipset fan with a replacement.

Brian,

That's is exactly what's up with mine, damn I really didn't want to have to
pull it all apart.

Thanks Brian,

Tony.
