The problem I ran into yesterday was a flash problem.  Try 
http://www.globalpositioningsystems.co.uk/tomtom-go-300-500-700.html?PHPSESSID=11f48270ee4bf2398089f481e30027bf
 
then select the flash demo for TomTom Go300.  It runs with konq, but 
not under firefox, at least in my setup.

I believe my on-line banking site uses javascript, and it works in 
either.  Where is a site that is problematic?
