Jim,
check to see if the files exist here:
$> whereis vimtutor
vimtutor: /usr/bin/vimtutor /usr/local/bin/vimtutor

$> rpm -q --whatprovides /usr/bin/vimtutor
vim-common-6.4-1.1.20060mdk

Then make sure you have the vim-common package installed.
