You may like to use my methos of cleaning the grot out of PSU'.

Remove the psu from the case, take to you local friendly auto repair
shop and ask if you might steal a few cubic feet of compressed air.

If you really concerned about static, you can take the power cord with
you and have it plugged into an outlet. (Important! Do Not Apply Power
to the PSU!).

Failing that an ordinary domestic vacuum clean which has a "Blow" mode
will do the same thing, but not as efficiently as compressed air.

I have used this method for near on 25 years - works a treat!
