If you use the mdv control centre or urpmi to install a smp kernel it will update lilo which will give you an extra option at boot time. Boot with the smp kernel and then check to see how its reading you processor. A smp kernel should still work with a single processor. I have been trying different kernels to try and get my usb dvb tv box working, as it needs a dvb enabled kernel. Al ass I don't seem to be able to find one on the Mandriva site so I'm gonna have to (nervously) compile my own registered Linux user number 414240 Guy Faulks the only person to enter the Parliament with honest intentions and he was going to blow them up ! --------------------------------------------- Free POP3 Email from www.Gawab.com Sign up NOW and get your account @gawab.com!! ____________________________________________________ Want to buy your Pack or Services from Mandriva?
