The assigned router gateway has a different ip address there too, and is a PPPoE ADSL connection. Unfortunately, I did lose the notes from the install of the old machine, so I may have missed something. Could I do the same by choosing a different port on the router [it's a four port router], and maybe looking like a 'new box'? Don't mind booting though, just curious. Just plugged it in before the bootup. It was recognized properly in MCC and said it could do it automatically, so I let it do so. It said it was installed successfully, but no test page. Checked to see if the printer could print its own test page - it did, so I assume it's OK. I seem to recall needing some kind of ps fix in the original install, though, but don't remember what it was. [I had the luxury of more time then. :-)] RK> Is this a parallel port connected printer, Yes. Sure do like those network printers though, especially in a mixed environment. Still have a pending test suggested by Dan to see if a Win2k box will finally print right, but haven't had time to do it yet [again, thanks, Dan].
