Actually from everything I've read the official Knoppix position on writing to 
NTFS is, to paraphrase, no/yes/maybe/maybe-not/depends.

Note: linux doesnt do to well when it comes to writing to ntfs for some reason. 
therefore you have to download a linux program which will allow linux to write 
to ntfs with out currupting the files.
