Hmmm...well don't I need to have a server? Surely "none" won't work,
right? Is there a way I can manually set one up?

Subject: Re: [Newbie]Problem -- "X Server: None"

I am under the very strong impression that XF86_SVGA is an X 3.3.6 only
server (as opposed to
driver)
with a Radeon I suspect also very strongly that you would do better (in
short get any result worth
mentioning) with X 4.2
