I presume you have never had it running and don't have any data of your own.
If you do have data that you want to preserve, do NOT follow the
instructions below. See below the ---- line.
What you didn't save the download!
Yes you can download it again if you deleted it.
You can also install it right over whatever you have without problems (you
may get some prompts about replacing files - just let it replace them).
You are not alone on the newbies list in understanding too little about
computers in general to progress rapidly. I strongly suggest that such
people get a real computer expert to hold their hand for a few days during
startup.
One of the first rules that newbies must learn is NEVER DELETE ANYTHING
until you understand what you are doing.
-----------
If you have data you want to preserve, and it is in the default place that
ebase puts it, then installing will overlay your files. Copy them elsewhere.
Then install. Since you are missing only ebase.102, copy it to where you put
your preserved files. Do a backup of these files. Run ebase, using FMP5,
from these files (not from the installation directory). You will get
messages about converting from version 4 to 5. Normal startup converts only
about half the files. Get the rest of the conversions out of the way next.
You can do this by clicking on the scripts pull down and selecting
ScriptMaker (first entry). You will then get a long list of scripts. Scroll
down to "820 - Open All Files", select it, and click on the perform button.
In the process of opening all the files it will present you with dialog
boxes about converting, do the default on all of them. When you are done you
can delete all the files with _old in them. Now save all the remaining .102
files to a safe place. You will need these for possible screwups and
recovery attempts in the future.
