Eliza,

We also receive gifts in honor of someone and record both names in our
database. What we do is use the nuances available by combining various
fields to show who is what. First we list the donor (Data Entry tab) as
"Other" under Donor Type pulldown and the honoree is listed as a "member"
(handling it like a gift membership--assuming the honoree is alive! and that
this is not a memorial.) Then we list the payment under the donor name as a
"contribution", while listing the honoree as having a payment of $0 as
"dues".
