Ileen,
I've never used ebase this way, but I have used other programs on my computer from
home via "PCAnywhere" software. It has been a while, but if I remember correctly, you
DO have to leave your computer on. Also, it works VERY slowly. If someone has a better
suggestion, you might want to look into it, but this solution works when you
absolutely MUST access the computer from home. For instance, I was house-bound for two
weeks a few years ago and it enabled me to manage my email and process donations. But,
if I were doing this regularly it would have driven me batty!

Another basic question -- I want to be able to work on ebase from my home
laptop. I have the software loaded on my home machine and at the office.

What do I need (or what do we need on the machine at the office) to enable
me to access ebase via the web from my home laptop? Or more specifically
-- how does this work? Does the machine at the office have to be running?
Do we have to have our ebase file on a web site? Our web page is primitive
and we don't have anyone expert at being a webmaster.

If someone could give me a basic explanation of how this works, I would
appreciate it. I haven't a clue how this works.
