My first goal is simply to create password-accessible drive shares for a 
few users.  Eventually, I will want to create space limits (quotas?) for 
each user.  The long-term goal is to create a PDC.  That won't be for a

I've heard there's some Samba-ish GUI out there for clueless newbies like,
er, your friend ... but what I always do is just find a samba.conf that
somebody else has written and adapt it for my own needs. What exactly are
you trying to do?
