Do you know what type of sound and ethernet cards they are? You can find
this out by typing 'lspci' on the command line ('lspci -v' and 'lspci
-vv' will give you even more info). If they are nvidia you might need to
install some special drivers. Let us know what you find (give us the
output of lspci).
