yeah... that's the problem i was referring to...  i'm afraid that i don't
remember where the .ini is, but if you find -name it, that should bring it
up... (or whereis might find it too...  i don't really know the difference)... 
once you find it, if you search for mysql, i think you just uncomment whatever
lines it comes up with there, but i'm not certain...
