Yes there is a known problem with the 2.6 kernel, don't remember what it is,
someone else on the list may be able to help here.

I would split your everything else catergory to 5-10 Gb for '/' (root) and the
rest for '/home'. That way your "important" data is logically isolated (if
it's important enough, make regular backups) and most importantly, doesn't live
on the same partition as your distro, which for some reason or another you may
want to clobber someday.

A primary partition; I think this is a suggestion for older hardware. If your
BIOS is old enough, it won't be able to read outside of 1024 Mb, that is if
you're planning on using grub to boot windows as well as fedora, otherwise it
shouldn't matter.

You can use whatever filesystem you want, but you swap has to be swap.

Anaconda only has GrUB, but either one is good. If you really want LiLo, you
can install it later.

The best place would be IRC if you can get to it, that way you get the group
expertise. Start up an IRC client and point it to irc.freenode.net and '/join
#utah.'
