as openoffice.org got the same philosophy than openindexer, we like
to ask you if you are able to support openindexer. after the launch of openindexer 1one year ago you contacted the OOo marketing
but we never get a feedback from them.

I have just searched for "openindexer" on the OOo Marketing Project list
([EMAIL PROTECTED]). There are no posts from Alessandro, and the only
mention of Alessandro's product, openindexer, was made by me on 21
Sep '05
(http://marketing.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=dev&msgId=2212929).
At the same time, I also posted to the OOo discuss@ list, see:
http://www.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=discuss&msgId=2217861

The first I heard of OpenIndexer was in June '05, when I was cc'd (along
with Cristian, Erwin and John) into a reply from Louis to Alessandro
about where OpenIndexer product was to be listed on the OOo site for
download. Alessandro had contacted Louis about the press release they
were preparing for the launch of OpenIndexer.

Since then I have received privately (cc'd with others, usually Louis
and John) other news about OpenIndexer. Some I responded to, some I
referred and conferred with others. For example, Alessandro was
interested in press in Italy, so I discussed his query with Italo who
also responded.

It has been suggested before that Alessandro contributes information
about OpenIndexer to the OOo newsletter, posts to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and
discuss@, and listed on an Add-ons or complementary products page. From
memory, all of my emails to Alessandro cc'd in others, except where I
asked a technical question as to how to run OpenIndexer having
downloaded it for my arcane Windows 98 box to give it a try before
posting to any public lists. I did not wish to send an email without
giving it a trial run myself.

I offered to post to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and discuss@ and it was accepted, so
I did. I did not follow up the Add-ons page other than to update an
extant issue if OpenIndexer created interest, see:
http://marketing.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=dev&msgNo=21292
Also, the Add-ons page was something that Erwin and Louis were working
on either as part of the development pages or the BizDev Project.

OpenIndexer is freeware and runs on one platform. OpenOffice.org is open
source software and runs on multiple platforms. I admit, that I would be
much more excited about promoting a product or project that has an open
source license and ran on other platforms in addition to Windows.

I take very seriously accusations of not replying or providing feedback
where promised. Like all enquiries, I work hard to answer everyone
fairly to provide what options and resources I have available and who
else they can talk to, and feel that I fulfilled my obligations in this
matter. However, this is just me. In order to solicit feedback from
members of the OOo Marketing Project, you need to contact them; the best
way being to post a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
