If the choice were to be made for Git, it may be interesting to have a look at VisualGit (http://github.com/pvginkel/VisualGit). This is a source control provider for Visual Studio 2010 based on AnkhSVN. It's currently in alpha phase (first version just released) but being actively developed and (mostly) feature complete.
