My buddy built a dirt bike around a nighthawk 750 engine and I have seen it take beatings and keep ticking. Our engines are tough as nails. It is rare that you would see any mechanical damage from dropping the bike... usually just cosmetic. If it is running and handling fine then I wouldn't worry. Just give it a look over before and after you ride which is a good habit anyway.
