Seafoam has a fuel stabilizer in it already so you probably didn't need both.

It was the gas cap not venting correctly. Also, improper set (or restricted) idle air needle valve can sometimes drive you crazy. Anyway, sure sounds like a fuel problem to me. Could also drain the carb bowls to make sure residual additives like fuel stabilizer has not pooled in the bottom. I once had this and I couldn't start it at all. I had used fuel stabilizer coupled with a Seafoam treatment...they did not mix well!
