I brought this on myself. I am the one that should know better.

Kim,
You are not thinking of the long stretch, only the present. Amsoil is not even
$1.00 more than Mobil 1 which is only suggested to last 5,000 miles. Bank on
it: Amsoil is good for 25,000 miles or more. That's in writing.
You will have paid for 8 oil changes in that number of miles, if you change
your oil at the recommended interval of 3,000 miles. At $12.00 for the oil and
$5.00 for the filter, you will spend about $150; Amsoil, at only 25,000 miles,
you would have spent about $65. And if you value your time, you would have NOT
spent about 4 hours or more extra time changing your oil (that's only if you do
it yourself and not take it to a shop to have them do it), and the time to take
it to a recycling center
So stop with the "I'm poor" and admit you are poorly informed. The petroleum
industry would like nothing more than to take all of your money that it can.
The other great thing besides not giving your money to the oil industry is not
giving it to the Muslims, who have vowed to destroy the US, to whom they refer
as the "great satan. "
Their man in the oval office is doing his best to weaken us to the point where
just a little shove will topple us. No drilling means the oil on our shores
goes only to China, Russia, and other countries who are not so friendly. It
also means we have to buy our oil from the Muslim nations, and that means we
are financing our own destruction.
Oh - and don't let me forget about the illicit drugs being brought over here:
the money goes to China and the Muslim nations also, not just S. America.
Kim, I was undoubtedly more impecunious than you before I received my
inheritance, and I realized I could not afford not to use Amsoil.
I look at the big picture. I don't see, I perceive. Yes, I buy Japanese, and
not just Nighthawks; but they are still an ally. Muslims and Red Chinese have
never been, and neither has Communist Russia.

Stanley

Being that I'm not rich by any stretch of the imagination I'll give that a try
Graham. Your seal of approval is fine by me. We can now stuff our oil thread
into a secret back room so nobody gets hurt.

I was just at stuffmart and bought three gals of Rotella T. It had that JASC
MA label on it and that's what I look for - $12.00/gal
