The wonderful thing about having a 1953 Studebaker truck in the family - I'm
familiar with six volt positive ground electrical systems. I'm also familiar
with having the headlights being so dim I could barely see - the gauge
lights being so dim I couldn't tell how fast I was going. Oh - and then have
the vacuum operated wipers go out on a hill - with dim lights - and then
have them go so fast on the down hill that I couldn't tell if they were
exceeding the speed of light.
Anyway... Enough ranting about electrical issues.
Oh - BTW - it never had an oil filter until we put one on in an
engine rebuild about 1200 miles (and three years) ago - this is one of those
times we should all be thankful about what we wrench on!
