thoughts, opinions and expirence is what im looking for here.... And this fourm has never had a lack of any of them.
In FL i have lived with bike alone for several years and loved it. Also i wouldent be required to insure said trailer as long as its not finaced (same as the bike). And my trailer is probably going to end up a modified single jetski trailer (yes, il send pich when i get started) il looking at a total investment of less then $500. This job is for mad science and they encourage abnormal and weird (hence they hired me) thanks guys yeti -----Original Message----- Date: Tuesday, January 25, 2011 1:42:33 pm To: [email protected] From: "Joey Kelley" <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [Nighthawk Lovers] sugestions please So on the top end - you're talking about 150 pounds - in three containers. I would guess that would be well within what one could haul in a small trailer. My comment would be by the time you build a trailer, rig a hitch to the bike, register and insure the trailer (Which I assume will cost the same no matter what size the trailer) I would consider - just consider - a different vehicle to do all this. Then again - my opinion is biased by the fact that up here in Maine no one can live with only a motorcycle - it gets dang cold in the snow when you're riding. Also keep in mind you'll be adding some stress and strain to the GL by towing a trailer and if you attempt to ride two up with the trailer you may experience a lack of power as well. I've had some experience towing - though not on a bike - and I can honestly say that I don't particularly fancy the idea of being on a bike with a trailer - since thats two things that people tend not to respect on the road in one package. Just some thoughts. -Joey On Tue, Jan 25, 2011 at 11:52 AM, [email protected] <[email protected]> wrote: > heavy ones are about 50 pounds, and light ones about 20...
