How far away is the shop? What speeds will you have to ride to get there?
If it's not too far and the speeds aren't over 30 it probably will make it.
Most shops will discount the price of changing the tire though if the rim is
already off the bike. The Clymer manual actually does a decent job of
walking you through the removal.
