My 450 used to be able to walk all over my Dad's Harley, but
that was a full dress touring bike vs a small lightweight bike. I had
him up until we got to speed.
What I've noticed is that when I ride with torque heavy
engines - usually V-twin cruisers - they have the advantage of
midrange roll on throttle response, where the inline engines need to
be downshifted in order to get the power.
I find it very annoying to ride with a group of V-twins for
that reason.
