Not hard. Pull the forks, remove top cap, spring/spacer, dust cap, and spring
clip. Drain out the fluid, then clamp the lower tube and use the upper tube to
slide hammer out the seal. Reverse for installation. Note on all the forks I've
done the slider bushings were worn so I'd just plan on replacing them. Also if
you do replace the bushings, put some tape over the grooves on the end of the
lower tube to protect the teflon. I just cut the old fork seals and used them
with a drift to install the new seals.

Subject: [Nighthawk Lovers] Replace fork oil seals and dust seals on CB750SC
 Nighthawk S 1984

Hello all....hope you are all well.......

Haven't been on the site for a while....too busy in between work and my
other project ("basket case rebuild" Honda 87 750 Hurricane).....

Please help......how difficult is it to change the front fork oil seals and
dust seals on my 84 CB750SC.?

Do I need any specialist tools and what is the procedure....?

I was quoted $250 by my local dealer is that a better option..?

Shane
